Mads: "Mommy what are these?"

Mommy: "Those are travel toothbrushes that you throw away after you use them."

Mads: "Are they for babies?"

Mommy: "No they're not for babies."

Mads: "Are they for squirrels?"

Madison is changing so very rapidly. Our little toddler has long since evaporated, and our big schoolgirl is here before us, all dressed up with new words and her own thoughts and opinions. It seems to have happened overnight. She's sharp as a tack and she knows it, a volatile combination. She's a person now, more and more able to interact with us and the world in a two-way manner every day. She's all logic and cunning and drama and curls. And we love her for it.

Power Ups!!!

We have two big power-ups in our family today.

Zach becomes the big man on campus as he storms into the 5th grade! Yay for Zach on becoming a member of the elementary school elite!

And Madison moves up to Miss Ruth's room at daycare! This is a big step too, because it's the 100% potty-trained room!
