Here it is. The winner. This picture has been viewed more times, 440, than any other photo I have up on Flickr. In fact, it's more than double my second-place picture.

They're two very cute chicks, for sure. But I have no idea why this particular picture would surpass the many similar ones I have up there. It's not even in any groups, which is usually where views come from. Not keyworded either. Perhaps it was featured in Flickr's "Interesting" photostream? Maybe the two names in the title "Heather & Brooke" look appealing in a search result, like maybe it might be a mud wrestling pic or something?

Or, maybe it is just the cuteness after all.

Wow. What a week.

I'm slow getting back up to full blogging speed, likely due to extreme exhaustion and an unending supply of fresh photographs to edit. I have completed most of the vacation pics and you'll soon be very sick of them.

I'm back at the day job today as well, struggling like a tuna in a net. I've got loads of stale emails waiting for me, and some fires to put out.

So I will ramp up the posts as I can.

Brooke cannot wait to walk. She is so impatient with quadrupedalism that she strives to be vertical at all times, often becoming frustrated in the process. She grunts and groans loudly until at last she accomplishes a new level of altitude.

So it was not too much of a shock today when she pulled herself up from the floor to a standing position using the coffee table. Heather snapped this quick picture of her, fully vertical.

Half A Year Later...

Brooke is 6 months old today!!!

Wild Buds

Brooke does not like rice cereal. It tastes like wallpaper paste, for sure, but I thought babies liked mild things...

Well, not our babies.

Madison's first food was hummus, and she loved it. And it wasn't until we tried hummus on Brooke yesterday that we realized rice cereal is just too timid for her Wild taste buds! To say she liked it is a bit of an understatement, as you can see.
