It Could Juice a Newton!

Our juicer has arrived and it works great! It's also both imposing and more than a little scary.

When it's running it sounds like a jet engine. It spins at 14,000 RPM so I imagine if it ever broke apart everyone in the kitchen would be killed instantly.

The chute or "mouth" of this thing can eat apples whole. When you drop fruits or veggies in, it sounds like you are running a torso through a wood chipper.

It works so fast that the juice just pours out of it, I suppose that's why they named it the "Juice Fountain". No kidding. Maybe they should have called it the "Juice Gusher". The pulp hits the interior walls of the juicer so fast it makes a cracking sound, like you threw a screwdriver into it.

It seems to have a pretty high yield for a centrifugal unit, the pulp is mostly dry.

Needless to say, we love it.

Tonight: carrot, spinach, beet, ginger, celery, hot pepper juice!
