Since I'm on a Star Wars kick today, I should add this interesting bit:
Although a live Krayt Dragon is never seen in A New Hope (or any other Star Wars movie), C3PO comes across a partial skeleton of one while he's out wandering in the desert (see above).
Here's an interesting bit of trivia: The fiberglass Krayt Dragon skeleton used in the movie was left in the Tunisian desert after filming in 1976 and part of it still lies there. It's going away fast though, between the dunes shifting and the opportunists taking pieces to sell to crazy fans.
I know it's a fairly remote location, but can you imagine the look on someone's face if they stumbled upon that thing out in the open desert?
