In the future we may all fly (and drive and boat) around in vehicles like this test drone, which was created in less than a week by printing out its components using 3D printers. If you haven't seen a 3D printer, they create solid objects direct from CAD models, using various custom polymers built up in layers. This one uses lasers to activate the hardening for each layer. It's crazy stuff but it works.
