In 1970, Marguerite Hart, the Troy Library's first Children's Librarian, decided to ask some famous people to write down their feelings on the importance of libraries. She got many responses from a broad cross-section of humanity.
The letters she received are on display at the Troy Library to this day. Here are a few interesting ones: Dr. Seuss, Isaac Asimov, Neil Simon, Vincent Price, and Neil Armstrong.
