<100%

Zach is still not fully recovered from this yet. :( He didn't look to perky at the Lotus party this weekend.

It's quite a bug. Try to avoid it if you can. The Weiss family was not successful in this regard either. Here's to a day without barfing!

The $5,000-A-Day Big Sister Kit

The nice nurses at the NICU gave Maddie a "Big Sister" package when we left for home, full of all kinds of fun hospital baby care products for her to use on her unsuspecting dolls. There are bandages, bottles, preemie diapers, even a tiny blood pressure cuff.

Watch out, Dora, you're about to be admitted.

Sicky

Poor Poo. She was sick last week, had a very high temp and I stayed home with her one day. She always likes to snuggle when she is sick, and she loses her usually tremendous energy. After quite a few days of being down and not sleeping well, I am happy to report that she is feeling herself again.

Of course, a tooth has chosen this break in the action to erupt...

Viral Load

We have been assaulted relentlessly these past few weeks by the constantly evolving biological landscape that is daycare. The viral and bacterial stew that Maddie swims in all day has come home to roost, and it likes it's new digs. Our illnesses never seem to subside anymore, they simply change into something else with different symptoms every week or so. It's very hard to track the vectors. I feel like an "emerging threats" specialist with the CDC, assigned to the border villages of the Congo rain forest.

I know this is a consequence of the large numbers of interactions we deal with nowadays in our communities and that she'll be pretty well protected by kindergarten, but for now it's bio warfare on a grand scale. Now, where did I leave my Bio Safety Level 4 plastic spacesuit?
