Remixed

My friend Jon took a photo of his daughters that I thought was so good I begged Dina to send it to me so I could play with it. I love messing with pictures, it's a sort of minor hobby of mine. I remixed it as a high contrast black & white, with lots of crunchy sharpening in the hair, bumped the red channel to get the skin glowing porcelain-white, and added a big dose of lens blur and darkening around the borders. Oh, and I did some high-level ear-hiding.

I think it changes the whole look of the photo, into something more vamp-like and gothic. That's what I love about photography nowadays...in taking a picture you're really only half done with the image.
