I'm right in the middle of the complex and paperwork-infested process of obtaining the ability to accept Visa and MasterCard for transactions in my photo business. Pretty soon I'll be able to charge a credit card any time, any place, securely and legally, right on my handy iPhone. Here's the app I'm going to use, featured recently in the latest wave of iPhone ads on TV.

It's a pain to do this, and it's not free, but people tend to spend more money when they charge things than they otherwise would if they had to bring cash along. I'll find out soon enough if that happens enough to make it worth my while...
