We worked hard all weekend and got the kitchen packed. Although we have a small kitchen, it was jammed to the limit with all manner of plates, bowls, serving dishes, utensils, decanters, pots, pans, steamers, mixers, blenders, toasters, grinders, mashers, slicers, knives, and enough spices to stock a small market in Marrakesh.
Heather's aunt Gayle helped us and remarked that we had more dishes than "Pier 1 and Crate & Barrel, combined".
We attacked the kitchen first because it was the hardest room to pack.
It will be interesting, though. As much as I love to cook fresh and tasty and healthy food, the next month of eating frozen pizzas and fast food off of paper plates using plastic sporks will really challenge my sensibilities.
We did keep one corkscrew unpacked, because a world without wine is a world with Whine.
