Mommy,
Hi this is Maddie.
Ok, it's not really me, but if I could talk more, this is what I would say. Daddy helped me write my thoughts down.
You are a wonderful mommy. You're careful yet encouraging. You talk to me so clearly and so patiently that I am learning to speak very fast. You tell me when I shouldn't do something, and you praise me when I do something good. This helps me to learn the ways of this great big world that is so very new to me.
I love to look up and see your face, watching down on me as I play and talk and sing. It makes me smile.
I love to dance for you, and I love when you dance with me. Sometimes I fall down or hit my leg on the chair when I dance, and you're always there to pick me up and kiss my boo-boos.
I love when we're just silly and laugh and giggle about nothing at all.
I love when you bathe me and help me wash my tummy, and I love the way you brush my hair so all my curls pop up for everyone to see.
I love the way you hold me when I'm sick and scared and don't feel good. You make me feel so safe.
I love when you help me dress up, and thank you for not minding that I wear your shoes around the house.
I love you because of all these things, and many more too.
Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!
Maddie
P.S. Zach says thank you for being so fun and helping him with his homework and letting him bake cookies with you and dancing and playing Wii with him!!!! He loves you too!!!
