A Bright Idea

This could very well be the light bulb of the future.

 

It’s LED of course, but the LEDs are in a specially formulated liquid that cools them and modifies the color of the light, and also diffuses it.

 

In side-by-side testing, these bulbs are ranked higher for light quality than any other bulb you can buy. They give off a warm amber glow that is very close to the color temperature of a campfire. But, you know, without the cracks and pops and smoke.

 

Right now they cost $30 a piece, but that will come down rapidly next year when the ban on tungsten bulbs goes into effect.
