Remember the chimp show at the Detroit Zoo? It's amazing looking back that they allowed something like that to go on, fun as it was to us kids. I remember the chimps driving go-karts around a track. That was my favorite part.
I gave no thought back then to the chimps and how unnatural and degrading this must have been for them, our closest living relatives. This show went on all the way up to 1984.

Wow, I didn't realize how long they did those shows! I remember them well. Their revenge will be some kind of "Planet of the Apes"...
