Just when I had given up on Facebook ever releasing an official iPad app (there are dozens on unofficial apps, some better than others), the NYT reports FB has been testing one for over a year, and it's due to be released in the next few weeks. It should be good too...rumor is Facebook even rewrote the backend server code to seamlessly integrate the app's new functions, and the app is supposed to provide features even the Facebook website doesn't have.
