Cheap Labor

"With Georgia's new law cracking down on illegal immigration only weeks away from going into effect, the state's governor proposed a new solution Tuesday for growers worried about labor shortages: hiring people on criminal probation."

I could have seen this coming. Get ready for veggies to triple in price if CA ever does this. The sad fact is it's the business owners who take advantage of illegal immigrant labor to lower prices. Kind of like moving your manufacturing base to Mexico, but without all the customs hassles. They're not taking American jobs because no American will work for that pay. Except of course someone who cannot find a job...someone like...maybe...a felon on parole. They've got no options, so they become the new illegal immigrants.
