What I wouldn't give to have listened in on this dinner: Obama, Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg, Eric Schmidt. The leaders of the tech world, and Obama is and always has been big on tech. Jobs on one side, Zuck on the other. Dang. Everyone's wearing dress shirts except Jobs...he doesn't shed that mock turtleneck for anyone or anything. Bet you he's got the Levi's 501's and Reeboks on too.
Hmm...notice no Steve Ballmer? That's because Microsoft is already irrelevant. They missed too many chances to innovate and the tech world has passed them by. Gizmodo had a caption contest and my favorite winner was this one:
"Gentlemen, Ballmer has neutralized the Finnish threat."
Which is hilarious because it refers to Microsoft's recent move to give Nokia billions of dollars in exchange for Nokia using the Windows 7 phone OS on their products. As if Nokia's not doing bad enough already, Win7's going to sink them for sure.
