One of my favorite toys as a child. We had a disc set about dinosaurs, and a Popeye one, and the NASA Moon Landing set. I can still remember some fragments of the scratchy sound of the narrator:
"The rocket weighed over six million pounds...it was burning fifteen tons of fuel a second..."
and the awesome dinosaur one was my favorite. It depicted a fight between some theropod and a brachiosaur...very cool stuff.
And the device itself was very cool. Stereo photo discs in 3D with a small record attached! I can remember the distinct "click" of that little button you had to press to sync up the record with the pictures.
