The SVT Raptor

I took one of these F-150 Raptors to Lima Ohio yesterday for business and brought it home for the night. As you can imagine, Zach loved it...I thought he was going to hug it.

This thing is a beast...made for off-roading, especially Baja, and it sounds amazing...like thunder rolling down off the mountains. It's packing a wicked engine, the all-new 6.2L Hurricane V8, with loads of torque, somewhere well north of 400 ft-lbs, and it comes on like a hammer when you gun it.

The Raptor has all the goodies for serious off-roading: huge mud tires, auto-locking hubs with ultra low rock-crawling gears, gas bypass shocks, and lots of ground clearance.

And the color: Molten Orange.

As for snow, well, Raptor doesn't just drive through snow...it eats snow for breakfast.

Check out these pics, including a couple of the Raptor running at Baja.

We will never give up our beastly cars and trucks, global warming be damned! I can imagine Zach's enjoyment - not to mention yours! My boys and I still have fond memories of Dream Cruise times, too. I got Jim a muscle car tee to go with his pj's for his birthday last week and he liked it for the nostalgia.
