It is now standard medical practice to run any tissue extricated from a patient through testing to make sure it is not cancerous. This testing is dragged out over a period of ten days or so to maximize patient mental trauma.
I've just had the second such sample (a mole) and test (negative) and although there was almost zero chance it was anything abnormal according to my excellent doctor's trained eye, I am celebrating the event nonetheless.
This calls for wine! I'd better wait till I get home though...
