We all had a great time Saturday in Frankenmuth at HB's mom's 70th birthday celebration!

 

Much like the Hatfield-McCoy feud, families in Michigan tend to either ally with one clan or the other - Zehnders or Bavarian Inn. Our family has always been partial to the latter, so that's where we went to celebrate. The Alpine Room!

 

The kids got a visit from Santa too...this was pre-arranged of course, and they got stockings full of cool stuff. Brooke took some time to warm up to the Jolly Old Elf, but once she did she was all smiles.

 

We also did the obligatory trip through the madhouse known as Bronner's...what a crazy place!

 

And most importantly, Grandma had a wonderful festive time and scored some great gifts too!

 

She still doesn't like having her picture taken though...
