Lucy The Goosey

We have a neighborhood goose! Lucy, as Madison has named her (because what else would you name a goose?) seems to have been left behind by her migrating homies, and spent the winter in our neighbor's yard, alone. It;s really kinda sad, seeing her out there all day and all night, waddling through the snow with nobody to talk to.

It has become a sort of tradition of ours to take note of Lucy as we drive or walk past every day. It's nice to see that she's still there waddling, and not frozen solid. Now that the geese are starting to come back, I hope Lucy's family returns and they have a big BBQ.

Letting Off Steamboat

We're getting very close to reunion time!!! We'll descend upon Steamboat like a plague of coolness. We'll rest, hike, ride, rest, drink, eat, rest, and have fun catching up on a very busy year for all of us.

And did I mention rest?

With all this packing and moving stuff we have been doing lately, it will be good just to sit and relax. No paint samples to look through. No addendums to sign. No windows to fix. No football-sized rats to chase out of basements.

(just kidding about that last one)

We have a birthday party planned for Zach during reunion, on our night to cook. Needless to say, I'll be making California Rolls by the dozen.
