Elastic Energy, Like Rubber Bands

We had another one of those busy summer weekends, the kind you need to go back to work to recover from.

On Saturday I went to Pinckney to shoot Lexie's 13th birthday - she had requested a photo shoot for her and her friends as her birthday gift. It was every bit as chaotic as you would expect from a dozen teenage girls chatting, checking hair, changing outfits, goofing around, dancing, drinking soda pop, and especially posing. I did a whole bunch of portraits, some crazy poses and more than a few action shots like this one.

I'll post more pics from the event when I get some time...and some sleep.

18x24

Here's my poster to advertize the dance packages for the big shoot I have coming up in April. It's getting close and everything is falling into place. The event will be two days of straight shooting, so I may be sparse during that time.

The Set Up

My father would occasionally lose all sense of taste and concoct cheesy old magazine ad set-up shots like these. Here we are, my brother and I and grandma too, staring with glee at the cool new name letters on our trailer. I even had a cat-prop to help complete the illusion, and Grandma was so excited she wore a big ol' gift bow.
