Not to get too soft here, but I rely on the web of "connectedness" I have with my family and friends. I think I might just float away like a balloon without these many strands securing me. I need them. I count on them. Life would be miserable without them.
I am like a dog in that sense, I think.
Sometimes I feel very alone, even in the presence of people. It's a scary feeling. Sometimes I need to be alone. But I always need to know that my connections are still in place when it's time to come back.
I might need you to pull on the string, after all.
