"Ilana Smith, a lead program manager on Microsoft's Engineering System team, has posted an article on MSDN explaining some of tweaks that have been made in Windows Explorer for the upcoming Windows 8 public beta in February. There are certainly those who have not taken well to the new ribbon interface, and to those opponents Smith says in no uncertain terms that they'll be sticking with the design.
For those who don't approve, she reminds them 'that there are third-party tools available' that can satisfy hardcore users."
Yep, that's Microsoft!
We know you hate that ugly-ass ribbon, but we don't care. You're gonna take it, and you're gonna like it!
Apparently they think they still have a monopoly on computing and can continue to treat their customers like final-stage lepers who have just crashed their black-tie dinner party. They continue to pump out one terrible product after another, assured that the customer has no option but to buy them.
Well guess what? Those days are over. "Good enough" is no longer good enough.
Yet, Microsoft seems to be the only party involved that doesn't acknowledge that fact.
