Happy Summer Solstice! This was a very important day in the life of our ancient ancestors so drink it up!
Contrary to "common sense", the Earth is farthest from the sun during the summertime in the northern hemisphere. The reason it gets warmer is due to the Earth's tilt relative to the sun.
