Hipmunk

There's an interesting new travel app for iPad called Hipmunk that comes with a cute mascot and a novel idea: when you search for a flight, the app sorts your possibilities by "agony" which is a combination of flight duration, airline flight record, price, number of layovers, and anything else that might make your trip suck.

 

So you get a fast view of which flights are really best for you, instead of just the cheapest. I'll have to try it next time I fly somewhere which may well be never because flying now sucks worse than just about anything else you can do, what with the baggage fees and cavity searches.
