Scenes from a Mother's Day tea party

I put on a tea party for the girls, third year in a row, it's officially a tradition now.

This time I made four types of teas sandwiches:

- Cucumber in vinaigrette with garlic-butter spread

- Almond chicken salad with basil spread

- Deviled eggs (the traditional way with sardines) with lemon cream cheese spread

- Peppered Stilton and walnuts with brown-sugar-nutmeg spread

and we had all the sweet goodies too: scones, jams, tarts...it was a feast of goodly proportion and most agreeable disposition.

Of course, there was also that great British tea: P&G Tips, and Earl Grey.

Great tradition, probably started hundreds of years ago!
