The president is in Europe this week. Ireland is treating him like a rock star, especially now that it's clear that he has ancestors from Moneygall. He had a pint of his favorite beer, Guinness, in Ireland, and remarked that the Guinness in Ireland tastes better than Guinness in America - a statement many a beer drinker has made. Well, turns out in scientific testing, it does:
The results of the Guinness-tasting t-test were clear. Pints consumed in Ireland had a mean GOES score of 74, compared with a score of 57 in pubs outside Ireland. While Ireland may not necessarily keep the best stuff to itself, the science is clear: Guinness tastes better over here.
My sister Mary has confirmed this as well. But, you know, I still need to find out for myself...

It's true. Whether it's just the atmosphere of the Irish Pub and the colorful people you meet there or how it's poured, or that it's brewed in Ireland rather than Canada (ours is "imported" from there)I don't know. I just know it was undeniably BETTER on the Emerald Isle!
And YES, you still need to find out for yourself. And I'll go with you!
