"...is a rare event..."

If you've followed recent major world events, you probably know that the
traditional news channels are always the last to get news of happenings.
As is always the case nowadays, you'll find out first on Twitter. Then,
hours later on Facebook, then the news channels finally wake up and
catch on.

Enter 33-year-old Sohaib Athar, who is now known as the man who
liveblogged the bin Laden assassination on Twitter.

"Helicopter hovering above Abbottabad at 1AM (is a rare event)."

And he continued to tweet as things heated up with gunfire and
explosions. By the end of the operation he had 14,000 followers. Sahaib
was pretty much the first person to know about this operation on the
outside, and he told thousands, live.

It's a new world indeed. Want to know the address, so you can stop by
for a quick snapshot next time you're in Abbottabad? It's on Google Maps
already.
