Mike and Laurie were on a hike yesterday when Laurie broke her leg in two places - clean breaks on fibula and tibia. Poor thing. She needed a helicopter rescue and fortunately hikers carry GPS units so they were able to give the rescuers the exact location and the chopper landed right nearby. Laurie had to have surgery last night and now has titanium screws and pins in her leg.
We all wish Laurie a speedy recovery and as little pain as possible. Then she can get back to hiking! :)

Thanks Dave! A new set of wheels was delivered yesterday so I am looking forward to some sunshine and fresh air today. Have wheelchair will zoom, zoom!
