Here are a couple of movies you'll want to make sure and miss. I haven't seen either, although I am tempted to try just to see how creepy and horrifying the state of the art in midnight horror has become.
"Buried" is a film about a guy who is kidnapped by terrorists and buried alive in a coffin...the whole movie takes place in that wooden box as the poor victim goes through just about every terrifying situation you could think of, before having the coffin slowly collapse and kill him after a failed rescue attempt. This movie has actually been well-received by critics, but my claustrophobia would give me nightmares for a year.
The other one, "Human Centipede", has been met mostly with revulsion and disgust. It's about a couple of pretty American girls and a Japanese guy who get kidnapped by a mad German surgeon who then sews them together end-to-end to make a - you guessed it - human centipede that shares a single digestive tract. Think about that...they share a single digestive tract. Can you think of anything more disgusting than that? I can't
The Ebert review for Centipede is pretty interesting reading. He actually refused to give it a star rating at all:
"I am required to award stars to movies I review. This time, I refuse to do it. The star rating system is unsuited to this film. Is the movie good? Is it bad? Does it matter? It is what it is and occupies a world where the stars don't shine."
If you decide to check these out, don't say I didn't warn you.
