Empty Nest

Well, the last tenant of Packard Plant #10 is about to vacate. Chemical Processing has been in the plant since about 1958, and this will mean that for the first time in 107 years old Packard will be truly alone.

Well, not alone exactly. Scrappers, photographers, taggers, and thrill-seekers will still roam the halls of this 3.5 million sq foot, mile long beauty...but perhaps for not much longer. The new mayor of the D, Dave Bing, has promised to raze the structure and send the bill to the owners. That will be a sad day indeed.

But for now, Packard lives on...just a little lonelier.
