The teachers at Brooke's daycare have a game they play when other parents come in. They ask the parents to guess Brooke's age. They never get close. She just seems older than her age. She talks in sentences and pronounces words very well. She can spell her colors! And she's really tall. They all love her so much there.
Truth be told, they are a big part of the reason she's so advanced. They have a fantastic teaching curriculum there based on the way children are taught in India. Which is to say, almost everything is introduced much sooner than it is here. They sign, they spell, they keep a calendar to learn the days and months. They write their names and they have to express their feelings in words. They learn big social lessons as they interact with each other. They are constantly immersed in a challenging environment. They don't push kids into anything though, they let them come along at their own pace if they need more time.
Brooke doesn't need much time...she takes to these things like a fish to water. She's a sponge. A cute blonde sponge.

She takes after her Aunt Mary. Of course you'll never know if that's true because you weren't around when I was two. I do know everyone thought I was older than I was because I was tall. And they thought I was older or twins of Kevin, 2 yrs my senior.
