Making A Scene

The Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805

Cape Trafalgar, Spain

LOOKOUT: "Capitaine! There is a British warship on the horizon, headed
our way!"

CAPITAINE: "Bring me my red shirt!"

LOOKOUT: (gets shirt for Capitaine, which he dons)

[Battle ensues, and drags on for the whole day, none of the ship's crew
being lost, and the enemy ship is turned away]

LOOKOUT: "Capitaine...I must ask, why the red shirt?"

CAPITAINE: "Because if I were to be shot in battle, I do not want my
crew to see my blood. It would demoralize them"

LOOKOUT: "Ahh! Amazing! And brave!"

[The next day]

LOOKOUT: "Capitaine! There is a whole fleet of British warships on the
horizon, headed our way!"

CAPITAINE: "Bring me my brown pants!"
