A Robbery At Comerica Park

Armando Galarraga was robbed. He pitched a perfect game last night for Detroit, only the 21st perfect game in baseball history. But he'll never get credit for it because the umpire made what will (and already has) become arguably one of the worst calls ever in the majors.

It was such a bad call that even the ump admitted he blew it. It seems that everyone in the stands and on TV that wasn't blind or distracted or drunk knew that runner was out by a mile.

Ahh but in baseball there is no going back. Unless of course there is. I have heard MLB management may reconsider their no-replay policy just this once and award Armando the perfect game that he, in reality, pitched.

Either way, congrats Armando. You did it.

Baseball is behind the times. Hockey uses any number of video replay views to make a call.
