Many banks now have their own iPhone apps. Many also have mobile-friendly web sites. Most banks let you interface directly with financial software.
But not my bank. This is what they call mobile banking:
Text any of the commands below to 839862 (TEXTNC)
bal = available balance of your primary mobile account
bal nickname = available balance of the nicknamed mobile account
bal all = available balance of all mobile accounts
hist = last five transactions of your primary mobile account
hist nickname = last five transactions of the nicknamed mobile account
list = list of mobile accounts and nicknames
help = list of commands and support information
stop = deactivate service
Examples:
Text bal to 839862 to receive the balance of your primary mobile account
Text bal chk1 to 839862 if you want the balance of the account nicknamed ‘chk1’
Text message banking? WTF? You have to be kidding me. Your competition has slick iPhone apps that look like this:
Heck, one bank even lets you deposit checks by photographing them with the iPhone camera and uploading them electronically!!
But not my bank.
Welcome to 1995!
