Getting Pushy
Apple cut iPhone OS 3.0 loose into the wild yesterday and it's got a game-changing feature in it for me. Spotlight search is great, Cut/Copy/Paste, very cool...and so is having a landscape keyboard for texting. But the bit I've been waiting for is push notifications.
We already had push e-mail and text messaging, but now any app can push data in real time, and that's crazy cool for people like me and Veruca Salt who want every thing "Now, Daddy!"
