There they sat, on a big platter, having two particulate layers of differing color - top layer pure white, bottom layer greenish. Small cup-shaped treats, which careful inspection revealed to be made mostly of gelatin, with the aforementioned trapped particles in distinct layers. They smelled sort of like tuna, but also pretty strongly like coconut.
We have someone from Japan here, she says they are not from her. The Greek guy denied knowledge too. Running out of cultures, I decided they were either someone's breakfast day contribution or upper control-arm bushings from a pickup truck.
I decided to try one. I am always first one to try strange things. I have the constitution of an ox and the digestive system of a billy goat.
They were excellent. I ate four more.
I really hope they weren't bushings though.
