Vomit & Burnt Caramel

Pipes And Pipettes,

How was your weekend? Ours was dandy, we loaded up the Flex with mammals and snack foods, pointed the bow "Up-North", and set sail to my sister's port...er house (and thus the analogy fails).

On the way we had multiple vomit events. First Maddie unloaded about a quart of late-afternoon daycare popcorn mixed with various enzymes and mucus onto her clothing. Not to be undone, Brooke geysered some soy formula skywards. When Zach complained of car-sickness, I just about turned the truckster around. But in short order all stomachs settled up nicely so we hit the play button and continued forth.

The purpose of this weekend was to go over details of Erik and Linda's wedding photography, and they arrived shortly after we did. Erik brought some of his home-brewed beer along, which was fantastic, we finished it off in no time, and as a result I remember none of the important portraiture details. :)

Saturday we got some photographs of the two young lovebirds in downtown Petoskey. And due to an astonishing bout of good-luck, we found Spoon Food's Gelato Cafe open and ready to dish out gelato! So we scarfed big on little bowls of pistachio and coconut, blackberry and burnt caramel. If you've never had a Spoon Foods product, you're missing out. Trust moi.

As always, we had to sail home far, far too early.

It was a great weekend and yes, you did have to "sail home" far too early. Next time you must plan an extra day!
