My mother and father were married 60 years ago today at St. Patrick's, a big wood-frame church near Grand Rapids.
My father's tardiness to the ceremony is legendary in my family. I remember my mother telling stories about that day, about how cold it was and how my father's transmission froze up and he was so late the priest said they were going to start without him :) Amazingly, I have a roll of film, shot in color, of the young couple bursting out of the front doors of the church that day. And a few photographs.
So I know he made it :)

Vince Honson actually took a color movie, is that what you have?
I have seen it projected and Jeannie may have it on disk. Has both sets of grand parents in it too. Would love to get a hold of it. Maybe somebody could write to her.
I know I have an old 8mm reel and I think that may be it, or a copy of it.
I have the ceremony from Vince's original 8 mm on DVD -- I had origially transfered it to to VCR and then had it transferred to DVD -- it's right here in my video cabinet. Tell me now to send the thing and I will do it. Have lot's of stuff on the DVD including my and Mark 1st Bday and Christmas from I think 1954.
Yes if you can make a copy that would be great, would love it.
Nice post for Mom and Dad. I planned to do this but didn't have any digital versions of the photos. I have a lot of scanning to do. Thanks. And I hope copies of that DVD get around to all of us!
how many MB is it Mike?
