Picture Maddie's sweet little voice saying that at the dinner table, as she scans the room. Add to that Zach's heartfelt pleas not to get rid of the dogs.

It both sucks and makes perfect sense. It's so hard to do that, make a decision that's best for everyone, but is so incredibly hard.
You are smart and strong and you did the right thing.
