The Muppet Dogs

It was always a big deal walking Jake by the House Of The Muppet Dogs. These things were big & scary, unruly, smelly, and they barked ferociously at any dog passing by their fence. They would set Jake into a furious frenzy of barking and snarling as he stood up for himself. He would start to get agitated way before we even reached this dreaded place.

And they were on the way to the park, and always outside.

Zach hated this scene, often asking me to walk way out of our way to avoid the Muppet Dogs. Of course, the Muppet Dogs were very different when we didn't have Jake with us. They were calm and just laid there watching us walk by. But Zach would still walk by with his fingers poked into his ears and his eyes squinted closed.

There were two of them, a big brown Muppet Dog, and a big black Muppet Dog. Sometime within the last couple of months the big black Muppet Dog must have died, because he is no longer there when we walk by. And this has sent the big brown Muppet Dog into a sort of depression. He no longer has the spunk in him to bark furiously at other dogs.

As much as I hated the big black Muppet Dog and all the trouble he caused us, I kinda miss him now that he's gone.

You can see the sadness and that dog's eyes. Poor thing!
