Mary
I have the coolest sister. Have I told you that?
I got lucky when they handed out sisters. And it's a good thing, because I only have one.
She's smart, funny, athletic, cute, and totally, 100% fun-to-the-gills. She kayaks like an Inuit whale hunter, backpacks canyons and mountains with grace, snowshoes to work in the winter, skis like she was born to do it. She cooks great food, takes wonderful pictures, sends funny emails (and sometimes sends sad emails). She's a great mom too, just ask Erik and Jim (and don't forget to crawl under the table and ask Fraidy).
She clips recipes and articles of interest and hangs them up all over - as good as she is, she's always improving herself.
She's very creative - she mixes ten kinds of breakfast cereal together to make the perfect version.
She can engage you in all manner of interesting conversation, from light humor to deep philosophy and cosmology. There isn't anything she can't talk about.
She enjoys life like we all should.
I really can't think of a thing she couldn't do if she set her mind to it. She's had difficult problems to face like the rest of us, but she always comes out stronger, and she keeps her chin up and doesn't complain. She just does what she needs to and moves on to the rest of life.
That's my sister. She says she's just an average person.
But I know better.
