Washing The Bad Feelings Down

The local A&W (remember them, the actual drive-in kind?) has a "Cruise Night" every Thursday during the summer. If you show up in a classic car you get to pay 1950's prices and hang out with other old-car people. It's fun for the everyone, especially the kids, and Papa gets to bring out the Model A or T for some much needed road time. We went this past Thursday, right after our bad house hunting experience, and it made us feel a little better, because, really, how sad can you be while you suck down an ice cold draft root beer, really?

If Grandpa shows up in a Model T or A ;) why doesn't he get to pay 1920's prices? Isn't that the times when you could get a truck load of salted peanuts for 3 cents? That's the story my dad tells me.
