My friend Jay finally let me in fully on his grandmother's dill pickle recipe. I think he was afraid I would start my own pickle company called "Grandma Weiss' Pickles", judging by the way he coveted that recipe. We made some asparagus and some cukes, each with a hot hungarian chili and lots of garlic. And now begins the hard part of waiting for them to fester. They are really good, so it is especially hard to wait. I love green tomatoes too, pickled. I want to try that later in the summer. Now that I have been given the keys to the sacred recipe, that is.
